specializing in excavation.

About Us
David Nelson, began his construction career in 1977 while still in High School. First working as a Crane Operator, and Welder for a local contractor, then as Owner and Operator of Cross D Construction for over 10 years. We took a break to raise our family and work the ranch but in 2016 it became evident that it was time for us to return to the excavating industry, therefore, Nelson Excavating LLC opened to serve the Agricultural, Residental and Commercial Excavating needs of Sheridan County.
Steve Nelson has over 10 years of experience as a heavy equipment operator at the Spring Creek Coal Mine plus years of experience working alongside Dave.
